David & Jamonae
Our Wedding
Message From the Couple
We do not take it lightly that you decided to travel here to witness our special moment. We are excited and nervous about this next chapter, but we are grateful to have your support. Our mantra for this time together:
This time together also serves as vacation so please use this time to decompress and relax.
If anyone brings up anything pertaining to life (non-emergency) you owe us 3(1 shot for the groom, 1 shot for the bride and 1 for yourself)
Have fun! We plan to and you should too. No judging here. We believe in Jesus and Jeezy!
About Us
We don’t have the typical love story. We didn’t meet in high school, fall in love and ride off into the sunset. We met in our 30’s despite going to the same school for our undergraduate studies. Our story begins with a birthday party weekend and the rest, as they say is history. We are total opposites!! Dave loves to wear cut off shirts, play spades and grill, whereas Jamonae wouldn't be caught dead in a cut off shirt, just learned how to play spades (well kind of) and prefers to eat instead of grilling. Yet, when you add tacos, and tequila in the mix, we work. We did things our way and in our time.
We made it through COVID-19, job losses and gains, many deaths, two moves to a new city and one engagement, SO HERE WE STAND.
Welcome from us to you and let’s have one unforgettable and unBELLievable weekend. As a firm reminder, this is kids free wedding experience. Please RSVP and pay your initial deposit by March 21, 2025, and reach out to us regarding any plus one's.

Darrell Jackson
Best Man
Big Bro!!! It goes without saying, the impact he has had on my life. The second most influential person in my life (you know, next to our uncle) lol. We have sparred an immeasurable number of times on that chess board fasho!! You have been present for the most important decisions in my life. It goes without saying that the friends that I have today, would not exist without those decisions... The education that I have today, would not exist without that pep talk in 2006 either, and for that I am grateful. He's always been my biggest supporter my entire life, and I thank God for blessing me with an older brother like him.

Terrance "Scrap" Wortham
Groomsman
Terrance, aka "Scrap" is one of my day 1's. We came to Wilberforce freshman year fall 2006 together, and instantly clicked, after all, I didn't know there were Ohio State fans in L.A! Terrance got his nickname in college, and I was there when it happened lol. We have endless memories (UD, celebrating your 18th birthday, etc.,), and have never failed to keep each other included in the "going-ons" of life. T and I have been locked in since then and is someone who's i feel like i can rely on to give good advice.

Ezra Johnson
Groomsman
Sands!!!!!!! We been in this thang rocking since fall "07"! the first time we met, we had that same thought about everyone present (you know what I'm talking about) lol. We've had our moments, after all, it was always a clash of life experience vs age with us in the beginning. One thing for certain, no duo in the history has gone on a Spades run like we have!!! We never hesitated to make decisions when it was game time! It's not too many moments where we weren't present for each other. From graduations to birthdays, Grits & Biscuits to sections, we always rocking out!

Tyson "T.Y." Harbin
Groomsman
"Wassup bro, where you from?" LMAO. I've always considered Tyson to be on of my "OG's". There were few upperclassmen back then that looked out for the Freshman, and T.Y. definitely looked out for me! We've been through ups and downs, and seen each other at our best, and worst. One thing that has never changed, we always had each other's backs. Ain't no switchin up around here!

Sean Guy
Groomsman
"Man where my order at, we holding on fish?". When was it, freshman year in high school in acting class? Sean and I have been friends since 2002. From making the decision to transfer out of a toxic school, to making beats and running the streets! I still appreciate you for puttin me on at Long John Silvers way back when! it was tough losing my Ace Boon Jr. year, but i still held Machine Trades down lol. We've managed to stay in touch all these years through your different stations in other countries. Looking forward to the casino being on you when you retire! lol.

William "DJ Muda" Amudipe
Groomsman
Muda is certainly one of my day 1's. We spent our entire freshman year arguing, and crazy thing is, i actually don't even know why when I think about it. Crazy how our friendship blossomed into us making the decision to move off and experience the "upper classman off-campus life". I've always respected Muda, but it truly was elevated when his parents found out we were going to furnish the apartment on our own! He's never faltered on making your own path. some of the greatest life advice I received came from him, and I'll never forget it, you can bet that!

Patrick "Milk" Mitchell
Groomsman
I remember the first time I met Pat. First question I ever asked him was if he could shoot a basketball better than me (since I had heard he was on the team) lol. He looked at me and confidently answered "Yes". Years later, we know who won a round in Mexico at the court, although you won twice! I've always praised the leadership capabilities that Pat had, never mind the charisma that he has. Pat has a way of drawing people to him, while not being a people person (i promise we gonna to get that right!!) lol. I will always appreciate the brotherhood that he has shown, and appreciate you for always having my back while also not hesitating to say, "Na Belly you wrong".

Curtis Maples
Groomsman
Curtis, aka "Dean" is a relationship that I for sure am glad to have made. I was fortunate enough to be selected by Curt to join Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Delta chapter (best call he ever made) lol. I have always admired Curt's ability to balance logic and emotion, and to some degree it reminded me of my own ways, although not as "enforced" lol. Curt has been like a peer mentor to me, and I wouldn't change a thing. Curt has no issues with letting me know when I am wrong, and for that I am thankful!

Steve Danquah
Groomsman
Klub!! Our friendship started off as us sharing a "kl2ub" number, to now being one of the people around me who I trust sincerely. We've had some pretty good conversations over the course of the last 10 years, the most important being the one 2 years ago (I'll never forget that). I appreciate Steve for a multitude of reasons. The wisdom that he has shown over recent years has helped me to evolve, not only as a man, but as an engaged man. it hasn't all been serious though, "Bruhs gotta be stopped" will forever live rent free in my head lol.

Larry Harten-Roy
Groomsman
No, we are not related! I met Larry around 2017, but we really got to learn about each other only a few short years ago. at first, I used to think we would never be able to be friends because, well he doesn't know the different between an "inside voice" and an "outside voice" lol. He does pay attention, and one thing about him that I respect is that he will pop up without warning to make sure everything is ok. That's a rare trait nowadays and I truly appreciate that aspect. We bump heads a lot, but I guess that's to be expected!

Britanne Primm
Matron of Honor
Brittane aka Brit-brat. I met Brit in the 11th grade at the Ville. Brit was and is a social butterfly. I went out with Brit once in the 11th grade and tried to hang and well I ended up on punishment. Lol I learned one thing that night, Bri-brat is a good time. Although she went to UC, and I went to the WU, we missed some years but later reunited at a baby shower. Brit and her family embraced me from the very beginning through game nights, tacos and tequila. We are a safe space for each other, and I cherish our relationship. Her vulnerability, charisma and energy are a breath of fresh air. I’m honored to have her with me on this day and the rest of life.

Shakita Dowe
Matron of Honor
Shakita aka my best friend. I met Kita, freshman year at the WU. An artist name Shawna (insider) and God brought us together. We have been rocking and rolling ever since. After Kita left after sophomore year, our relationship didn’t miss a beat. Kita has always been my #1 cheerleader and even though we don’t live in the same state our relationship has only gotten better with time. We share the love of food and watching Grey’s Anatomy over and over again. Kita is considerate, hardworking and irreplaceable in my life. Everyone needs a Kita in their life and I’m eternally grateful that I have her. I’m honored to have her with me on this day and the rest of life.

Bria Saddler
Maid of Honor
Bria aka my sister. I met Bria sophomore year at the WU, and we did not click right away. After maturing and BWU, our relationship blossomed. Bria is actually 1 of 2 people who taught me to have a voice, and I haven’t shut up since. After one particular Christmas break, we both decided to get jobs at the outlet. Just know I’m forever traumatized by Tupac and Mint Condition. lol Our favorite thing to do is vibe out with each other no matter where we are because baby, we goin have a good time! Bria is one the most supportive and loyal friends and I'm forever grateful to that God saw fit to bring me my sister. I’m honored to have her with me on this day and the rest of life.

Olandra Gibbs
Bridesmaid
Olandra aka Osky is the coolest person I know. Olandra and I met in high school and clicked instantly. We bonded over brown sugar pop tarts and chocolate milk at the Ville. Olandra and I did driving school together, skipped class to get wings and watched the popular kids and laughed. Olandra has been in my life for over 20 years and I truly could not envision my day without her. Olandra's beauty, authenticity and demeanor is unmatched. I’m honored to have her with me on this day and the rest of life.

Kevana "Kaka" Hobson
Bridesmaid
Kevana aka Kaka, my baby sister. Kaka keeps me on my toes, my wildflower. Ever since the day she was born, she had brought the sunshine with her. Kaka and I bonded over sleepovers in her room, reading books and surprise visits to see her in class. The face she made every time I showed up was priceless. Kaka has always been my independent baby and likes to do what she wants when she wants. Even though she says she looks up to me, I admire her. She is unapologetically herself, innovative and is truly beautiful inside and out. I’m incredibly proud of my baby sister. I’m honored to have her with me on this day and the rest of life.

Danielle Smith
Bridesmaid
Danielle, aka Dani is my Rida. Dani and I met in Upward Board in the 9th grade. We instantly clicked and began going to sessions together but first we always stopped at her granny’s house off 105 to get snacks. Lol Dani’s energy is infectious, and she has always been one of the most down to earth people you will ever meet. Her confidence is effortless, but she is so talented, smart and always evolving. Dani and I have been through a lot but no matter what has happened, Dani and I’s friendship has never wavered. I’m honored to have her with me on this day and the rest of life.

LaDeitra "Lala" Hobson
Bridesmaid
LaDeitra aka Lala, my little big sister. When I first found out that I was going to be a big sister, I was not happy. However when I met this little girl, I instantly loved her. She quickly became my shadow and wanted to do everything I did. We bonded over Sunday phone calls, homework assignments and random trips to the park. Over the years, she has grown into her own person continuing to figure out what works for her. Lala is nurturing, thoughtful and motivated to succeed at every chapter in her life. I’m tremendously proud of my sister. I’m honored to have her with me on this day and the rest of life.

Camille McCoy
Bridesmaid
Camille aka my baby mama. Camille is the first person I met when I moved to Cleveland in the 7th grade. She was a year older than me but stayed on punishment. However, whenever she got off punishment, we were outside! We bought yo-yo’s, bally socks and batteries for our Walkman's (you know the good old days) and we were out on foot. Camille introduced me to Upward Bound and life. I learned so much from her and she has inspired me in many ways. Camille is amazing, driven and creative. Outside of Camille sharing her kids with me, we share 25 years of friendship, memories, highs and lows but above all, love. I’m honored to have her with me on this day and the rest of life.

Jasmine "Roomy" Titus
Bridesmaid
Jasmine aka Roomy!! I met Jazz as we became roommates at Wilberforce. Our memories include trips to Philly (her hometown) to get Bare feet shoes, Philly cheesesteaks with extra pickles and no more perms. Jazz is one of the sweetest people you will meet but if you cross her, that South Philly/Big Leo energy will show up. Jazz and I have seen each other through all kinds of peaks and valleys but we prayed, listened to Jeezy and kept it moving while being cute at the same time. Jazz is resilient and loving but make no mistake after 20 plus years of friendship we don’t play about each other no matter the city or state. I’m honored to have her with me on this day and the rest of life.
